A story if you will...
A little old lady, we will say in her late 50's is driving home from church and because of her age and her bad night time vision she crosses the center lane. A Highway patrol man pulls her over for the violation but notices she has a Christian fish, a Ron Paul sticker, and a 'life starts at conception sticker' She is instantly considered a threat of domestic terrorist. The officer while approaching the vehicle makes a mental not to watch for other signs, and questions her (sure she looks Innocent enough...but the list says she's a threat!) While questioning her she is frazzled at the questions and confused at what questions about Ron Paul have to do with her crossing the center lane and does not answer correctly...she is taken in as a threat!

I told myself to stop listening to conservative radio but...I don't listen to myself very well! While listening to my favorite host speak I realized he was talking about a list that was given to our local highway patrol (and maybe yours too) that tells them what to look for in a 'domestic terrorist'. Those items include but are not limited to car stickers with christian symbols-like the fish, constitutionalist party stickers, and anti-abortion stickers. This report was made by our grand old (change is coming) government (terrorist branch) and printed to be handed out to Highway patrol men on February 20th 2009!

While they say they are trying to only target extreme right crazy nut jobs (like the KKK, and abortion clinic bombers) they are really just attacking conservatives. Do you want to know why? Because if you read that document it makes NO MENTION of extreme left crazy nut jobs! NONE and we all know the global warming, don't kill the trees nut jobs (that put polls in the trees so loggers lose their arms when their chains break off their saws) or who bomb factories, and oil refineries, or even anti war extremist who defile our soldiers.
We all understand that there are nut jobs on both sides of the fence, but to target conservative Christians in such a way is unconstitutional!

Sick and wrong. The part about bumper stickers was so juvenille and stupid. Yeah, if I have a 'right wing' sticker on my car it links me to the OK City bombings? WWAAAAH?
And militants use the 'don't tread on me' as their symbol? Doesn't anyone read history books anymore? Are they all this stupid to not recognize a symbol from the American Revolution?

Does this mean in order for you and I to feel safe and not targeted that I better run outside with a razor and scrap the religious bumper sticker off my windshield?
Let me add that the police are doing what they have been instructed to do which is beware of people trying to hide there bad intention by disguising as a religious person.
There really isn't anyone to blame but man in general.

Emily, I know my talk radio group and that letter is real. However if I were you I would not trust just my word so you may want to Google some of the things listed on the letter like the names at the bottom and see what comes up. And your welcome, I am so glad everyone is taking my post well. I was afraid of negative feed back.
Gi, it might actually make you feel safer to take that sticker off, but that would be up to you. I would think that God will have to lead each of us as to when to be discrete and when to fight.

Good Morning. I just saw the comment you left on one of my blogs. You suggested that I take a sticker off my blog and what sticker are you referring to?
I looked at my stickers and I do not see anything that goes against God. If your talking about my IC sticker you apparently read it wrong or your perception is wrong. I have IC and CCP a very painful disease that affects thousand of people but it not only affect you it affects your whole family.....due to this many persons feel isolated and I want people to know that they are more than a disease...it mean fight for your idenity; it means your more than a disease... and yes, with diet; and other self-help techniques which I include pray; you can lessen the painful episodes........There is no cure for IC; I do not put my faith in science I put faith in my creator and I try to take care of myself without medication.
Everyone of us has the right to our opinions; perceptions; religious beliefs and in this country we have the freedom of speech and the freedom to display what we chose on our blogs so long as it is does not goes against any legal statue.
I have to be honest with you I was hurt over your comment. IC has been a very difficult journey for not only myself but my family.
I volunteer my time each and everyday to help my fellow man; to try and help someone to have a better quality of life. I get up every morning and I pray God let me do your will.....and that is how I begin my day.
I don't ask why or how I just do it. I have sense enough to realize that all of mankind is imperfect and no one should judge anyone at anytime. We don't know all the facts only God does. Thank you for your concern or suggestion but I don't think God is going to hold my IC sticker against me.
That being said the IC sticker stays.

Not only did I print out the report that was given to the Highway Patrol, but my husband and I read it back to back and sat there in awe.
I was truly amazed and shocked at how blatantly biased it was. Really. IN PRINT! wow.
